Other stand-out projects include: MetroLink Facilities 3 & 4, TRRA Third Main Track #57, Associated Electric Rail-Spur, and the I-70 Mississippi River Bridge (MRB) relocation.
MW has the expertise, equipment, and specialized personnel to provide our clients with exceptional results, every time.
Millstone Weber knows rail/mass transit work and its unique aspects, including working around active railroad lines. We have the expertise to deliver our clients a quality project under the most demanding schedule.
Below are featured project highlights illustrating our accomplishments on recently completed and current rail/mass transit projects.
UPRR Illinois HSR - Tier 6 & 7: Completed pile driving for the new bridge through the existing structure at Mazon River during work windows with no delays to Amtrak service.
UPRR Illinois HSR, Tier 2EA - Girard Siding: Re-phased construction to complete and open 4 miles of double track north of Girard, IL prior to removal of the existing 2 mile siding. This approach eliminated the need for a 60-day siding outage, avoiding service interruptions to UPRR and Amtrak.
BNSF Jacksonville Siding Extension: Successfully coordinated with BNSF Railway and the owner’s representative to continue construction prior to ROW acquisition while maintaining the schedule for the siding extension completion.
At each of these locations, MW was able to coordinate work efficiently around a high volume of track traffic to ensure minimal impact to the railroads.
